Dr. Vijay Kumar Panday started International Environment Consulting in December 1993 after completing a brief tenure at the Research Centre Juelich in Germany.  Prior to that, Dr. Panday spent approximately 30 years with the Department of Atomic Energy in Mumbai working in the area of advanced analytical chemistry and was involved in the development of several novel techniques in chemical analysis.  From 1968 - 1970, he worked at CSIRO in Australia under the guidance of Sir Alan Walsh, founder of atomic absorption spectro-photometry.  Dr. Panday earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Delhi (1962), a Masters degree in Physical Chemistry (1969) and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry (1974), both from the University of Mumbai.
